Gene and Sandra Turner - Gene and Sandra were introduced to Modern Western Square Dancing in January 1987 and had so much fun, that they couldn't turn down the opportunity to take lessons. He and Sandra, continued to dance and learn the various programs though C1.

In 1992, Gene picked up the microphone and called his first Square Dance singing call.  He is a member of the Square Dance Caller's Club of Great Britain (SDCCGB).  Gene served as Chairman of the Northern Area Caller's Association (NARCA) for several years.  He was the Editor of "News And Views", the Newsletter for the Square Dance Callers Club of Great Britain from February 2003 through February 2013.

Gene has called Basic through A2 programs, however has decided to devote his time to bringing NEW dancers into the activity and currently restricts his calling and dancing to the Basic through Plus programs.

Gene and Sandra were members of the Organizing Team for the GSI UK Festival and Callers School in 2007 and 2009.  Gene was also a staff caller at the Festival in 2007 and 2009.
